I have a question for other Nubella members who are parents. I don't have children, but I get lots of invitations to birthday parties for the children of friends and relatives. Most of them I can't attend, since they are out of state, but I appreciate being included in the invitation list anyway.

My question is: Am I expected to send a present even though I can't attend? Most of the children have more toys than they can ever play with, and some of the parents have even said to me that the kids don't need more gifts. Is it OK to just send a card? Thanks!
