| When I use artificial sweetners they give me a headache. Any sugesstions on what to use instead? I do not care for the tase of honey as a substitute. I am trying to loose the weight put on because of medical problems. I have a generally healthy diet but would like a little something sweet occassionally. Any helpful sugestions would be appreciated. |

| I have your problem and so do my children. It took me 10 years of medication , doctor appointments and many headaches to learn that i was allergic to artifiacal sweetners. I don't eat anything sugar free. I just watch what i eat and i don't add any sugar to my food that isn't already their. They have in the health store something called "stevia" and it is suppose to be a natural sweet root that will work like sugar.I have not tried it. Also it you look at the toothpaste you use it will have saccharin in it, mouthwash is the same, tylenol also has it in some of its products, tums and no name brands have it, i have to check each label before purchaseing it. You can use tom's toothpast but read the ingredients as they have a few with sacchrin in them as well. The old Listerine gold one is safe, all gum has sacchrin as well. So be real careful you might be getting headaches from items you didn't even know that have the sweetners in it not just the one you add to your coffee. Even though the product isn't labeled sugar free read it for you will find the artifical ingredient listed |

I found these posts very interesting. Both my daughter and husband suffer from headaches, I know that they have never considered that artifcial sweeteners could be the root of their probems. I am going to pass it along to both of them. Thank you for this informtion.
Have a great day. |

I also use to get headaches (migiraines) from using artifical sweeteners. I've switched to regular sugar, and the headaches are a lot less frequent...
Good luck -- I hope that your family members can get rid of their headaches! |

This is not the first time that I am getting to see people getting into problems after trying the artificial sweeteners. So I feel it is best to stay with the age old sugar in limitation as other than problems like obesity this does not cause problems such as these. And anything done in moderation is not harmful thats what I believe. _________________ Is the cheap plavix available |
