Recipe: Homemade Ginger Butter

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 Tbs. fresh ginger root, grated
  • 1 Tbs. maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger

Cooking Directions:
In a heavy skillet, heat about 1/8 of the butter over low heat. Add grated fresh ginger and cook for 1 minute. Add maple syrup and ground ginger and cook for another minute. Remove from heat and let cool a few minutes. Transfer to a bowl. Mix in remaining butter, stirring until smooth. Use as a topping for toast, crackers, etc.
