Recipe: Ginger Coffee

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup ground coffee, heaping
  • 2 tsp. ground cardamom
  • 3 Tbs. fresh ginger, minced
  • 4 cup cold water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 Tbs. sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream, cold
  • 1 oz. fine dark chocolate, grated

Cooking Directions:
Combine coffee, 1-1/2 tsp. cardamom and ginger. Brew with cold water using desired method. Combine milk and sugar in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir constantly until hot. Whip cream with remaining cardamom to soft peaks. Serve coffee with hot milk. Top with a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle with grated chocolate.
