Music To My Ears
Page 2
For as long as I can remember, I’ve found it nearly impossible to exercise without good music. Sometimes it’s the lyrics that speak to me, and sometimes it’s the melody. But as soon as those headphones go onto my ears, nothing else exists. It’s simply the music and me.

I’ve listed some of my favorite workout songs below. Feel free to take any of these suggestions, but I also encourage you to find additional songs that mean something to you. Trust me…when you find your song, you’ll know. You will be amazed at your newfound ability to run faster, pedal harder or lift more. I truly believe that there’s power in music…

HI Jodi,
I love your blog and I thought that I would add one new song that I like to run to. \\\"Hey Delilah\\\" by The Plain White T-s just gets me going bigtime. A month ago I was struggling to run 10 minute miles. Thanks to songs like this (especially lines like \\\"We\\\'ll have it good. We\\\'ll have the life we knew we would. My word is good.\\\") I have been able to lower my mile time to 7:45, not Allen Webb, but, I\\\'m getting there....Good luck and keep up the good work!!

Dancing is awesome.. I also have some Zumba DVD\'s. This is Latin dancing and let me tell you, it really makes you move your hips and it gets your heart pumping and I just love it! Just thought I\'d share that with you. :grin

So true! I don't know how anyone can get through a workout without music - it pumps you up and really keeps you going. I need high-energy tunes - anything by Linkin Park kicks me up a notch! Like your suggestions - well, maybe with the exception of Kenny Rogers!

'Your Love' by The Outfield, Common, old school hip hop and anything by The Cure, New Order or Coldplay will keep me running for hours!
