The day of reckoning is here. Back on July 17, I set a goal to lose five pounds by August 17. Five pounds in one month – a sensible goal, I thought. Well, I weighed myself on the 17th, and my total weight loss for the past month was three pounds. Not horrible, but not great either, since I didn’t meet my goal. But I’ve chosen to focus on the “glass half-full” side of the story: I’m three pounds lighter than I was one month ago!
My goal for Sept. 17 is to lose four pounds, which would make a total of seven pounds, which is almost 10 pounds…Hmmm, I seem to be getting ahead of myself here… Now comes the hard part: staying motivated. I plan to award myself a little prize when I meet my September goal: an extra-large hot fudge sundae! Just kidding…Actually, I am going to treat myself to a professional massage. How do you stay motivated? I’d love to hear how you reward yourself when you reach a goal.
