Work, Eat, Sleep, Repeat
Page 2

"Work, Eat, Sleep, Repeat." That seems to be my personal motto these days. How am I ever going to get myself fit if I do nothing in between? Is it a lack of motivation? Do I lack the time? Obviously not, as people all over the world, young and old, find the time.

Any suggestions as to what I can do to break the cycle?

It is not that you lack the time, you have to make getting fit a priority. Think about it, you always make time to do the things you want; like going out with friends, watching the game, etc. You need to make exercise part of your routine, somewhere between eat and sleep.

B, to be honest with you, it's NOT the lack of time. You just don't realize how much time you waste sitting/goofing around after you get out of work. Try to find a different activity each day after work and make sure those are the things you enjoy doing. Doesn't matter if it's playing basketball, rollerskating, or jogging. Even if it's helping old ladies cross the street (for about 100 times), you still burn some calories. Hint: You are more than welcome to walk my dog.....

It is not easy to do excersice when you have a busy life. Something that sometimes works for me is to wake up earlier and do excercise at the morning so then I can continue with the routine of work, eat and sleep ;) Then you also would have time to go with your friends to watch a movie after work

I think it's totally possible that you don't have the time RIGHT NOW. That doesn't mean you can't make the time. You have to prioritize something differently is all.

I'm in the same boat as u so I really can't give advice without having to follow it. All I know is that u have to want to do it and make it a point to fit in minimum 40 mins to exercise a day. And if you can't do that, then u have to adjust your diet. 80% of losing weight is in the diet and not exercise. So simple things as always drinking water instead of juice or soda, eliminate salt, ban sweets. Park at the far end of the parking lot so u can walk a good distance to get to work. 0r after you eat dinner every night, take a long walk and then come home to relax.

take the cycle off repeat....
well, i have to say that working out can be a pain in the ass some times (probably why the word "work" is built in there). i found myself in the same cycle until i finally stopped that cycle because i didn't like how not working out made me feel.
for me, i was working out in the morning, now it's at lunch times. i also find that, on days i can't work out, i try to be more conscious about eating healthier and finding a way to walk a little farther if the option is there.
if you're really having a hard time figuring things out, try pushing the pause button in your life and pay attention to what your schedule is really like. are you staying up late, do you watch TV when you get home, etc. then make an effort to see what can be taken out of that cycle.
remember two things:
1. if you make it a priority, then you'll figure out the best workout time for you
2. follow nike's advice and just do it...the more you think, the more you put it off of a day, the less likely you are to break that cycle.
good luck!

Getting motivated to workout, is defiantly the hardest part of working out. Just try to start off slow by doing simple exercises and work your way up.
