Did you know that today is National Candy Corn Day? 

What is this favorite Halloween treat? Basically it is a copy of dried corn in candy form. It's considered a "mellow cream," a name for a type of candy made from corn syrup and sugar that has a marshmallow-like flavor. Although candy corn tastes rich, it's actually fat-free.

Does this mean I can have candy corn while on my diet? :)

Candy corn has actually been around for more than 100 years. A man namesd George Renninger of the Wunderlee Candy Company invented it sometime in the late 1800s.

Candy companies will produce almost 35 million pounds of the corny candy in 2007! Almost 9 billion individual pieces!

	Fat doesn't make you fat... sugar does. I'm sure candy corn isn't SUGAR free... Point being, it doesn't seem like a diet food. Guest

	Oh Bryant....corn syrup is awful for you!! Curb your sweet tooth - - try some oatmeal with cinnamon and apples...loaded with fiber. PLUS cinnamon helps to regulate your blood sugar! Guest

Aflotoxins alter the nature of the autonomic nervous system\'s feedback as well as local upset in the colon\'s calm environment. Immune system responses ensue along with inflammation.
