Are You Eating BABY FOOD?
Page 2
"Is that BABY FOOD? Are you eating BABY FOOD?" one of my favorite co-workers, Bill, sputtered to me late yesterday afternoon. "You bet,"I proudly announced, to which he replied, "Why???"

Well Bill, I'll tell you why. Baby food is pure. Apart from some of the puddings and other dessert varieties, what you see is what you get with baby food. A jar of bananas contains...ready?...bananas! No sugar. No salt. No high fructose corn syrup. And take the applesauce, for example. I’ll admit it, this one has an additive. Know what it is? Vitamin C. The  immune-boosting, free-radical fighting antioxidant. Not too shabby, huh?

Ok, so there’s a limit. I don’t have any plans to replace my regular meals with heaping servings of strained peas. But I will keep loading up on jars of peaches, pears, apples, blueberries, and sweet potatoes (Mmm, you HAVE to try the sweet potatoes.)

Meanwhile, I’ll continue to get sweet smiles as I peruse the baby aisle in the supermarket, surrounded by new moms who assume I’m stocking up for my little one at home. And I’ll just smile back, unless I’m tempted to reveal my secret. I have a feeling that wont go over very well, though. So, I’ll just keep my secret to myself…and all of you.

I can't believe it - - for all of these years, I lived in shame of my baby food obsession :) It is so delicious, healthy and practically void of preservatives and additives. I dare any adult to try these delicious little treats and not be impressed!!

Questioning Jodi
So, I admit, the sweet potatoes do sound good, but do you eat them cold? Or warm them up?

Questioning Jodi
See, there are others out there just like you, Natalie13! If I've helped just one person come clean about his or her baby food obsession, then I've done my job!

Questioning Jodi
Good question, Val. I should have mentioned that. I basically eat all of the food cold, but I microwave the sweet potatoes in their jar for about 20 seconds.

I remember when.....
Maybe babyfood has enough vitamins & nutrients for BABIES.. but how much of that stuff would an adult sized person need to eat?

Healthy makeup
Hi there...I just wanted to say that I would love to see more on your blog about healthy cosmetics and makeup!
Health on the inside, of course, is important, but what about the outside????

Healthy makeup
Hi Gerber Baby. Good point. Baby food is a great snack but it definitely shouldn't serve as one's only source of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients. I still make sure to load up on fruits, veggies -- and nuts (since meat is temporarily out of the picture!)
