This is the first holiday season in a long time that I haven't felt like I've completely overdone it with food. Trust me, there have been plenty of temptations all around me this past month, and although I haven't passed up every piece of chocolate or cheese, I have exercised fairly good willpower. And as a result, my pants fit the same (if not a little looser) than they did a couple of months ago. And that's a great feeling to have as I head into the new year.
A few months ago, I started thinking about resolutions I wanted to make for 2008. And this year, I took a different approach. Instead of waiting until Auld Lang Syne to "start doing this" or "stop doing that", I actually put some of these plans into action a couple of months ago. And now, as I head into the new year, these resolutions don't seem so new or strange anymore, and they feel more like a part of me, rather than a grandiose, unreachable goal. So here's to eating well, exercising lots, getting more organized, not feeling guilty about everything, learning how to relax, and a few others. What are some of yours?
