On January 10th, in the wee hours of the morning, my healthy, beautiful nephew entered the world. It had been quite a harrowing couple of days for his mom as doctors attempted to induce her labor. And she so brave. So very brave. My brother stood (and sat and slept) by her side the entire time, and approximately 40 hours hours after they had checked into the hosptial, their son was born by C-section.

Dan and I met our nephew for the first time that evening, and he was more precious than we could have ever imagined. It's so magical to watch his parents interact with him; their maternal and paternal instincts have completely kicked in.

Life truly is beautiful, and seeing this bundle in blue—so small, so helpless, so perfect—has solidified that even more.

Welcome to the world, sweet baby.
