A few of us were sitting in the Cafe last night bemoaning how hard it is to keep

up with the cost of prescriptions for our loved ones.  Tom, a colleague who is a                    

great pharmacist, reminded us about the Partnership for Prescription Assistance

PPA.

He said: "This week, The PPA is celebrating its 3rd anniversary of helping

financially-struggling or uninsured people across America get access to the

medicines they need for free or nearly free. And ....

America’s pharmaceutical research companies, which sponsor this wonderful

initiative that has helped nearly 5 million patients across our country, deserve

a great big HEARTFELT THANK YOU!! "

 Now that’s a partnership worth celebrating.

You may already know about the PPA sending its “Help is Here Express” bus to all

50 states to educate people about available assistance programs from Montell Williams' public service ads.

NEED TO KNOW

What you need to know is that you can access all the information you need by:

1.  Visiting the PPA Rx site for information on more than 475 public &

private patient assistance programs, including more than 180 programs offered by

pharmaceutical companies; or

2. Call their toll-free number for assistance   1-888-477-2669 .

If you know a friend or neighbor that could use this info, please pass it along.  It just could make a world of difference to them!!        Caringly,  Jackie & Tom
